Super Jet xscream ss865 vs dasa ss850?

The cylinders aren't the same. I believe the xscream is a 7 port cylinder while Dasa went back to 5 .you can't really say I've its better then the other. They are both great setups

Depending on the cylinder size may change the number of ports. Think XScream has two different sizes. There is an old post when they came out with their billet cylinders that they discussed this.

I've ridden both engines, same setups...850 direct from Dasa, and 865 direct from XMW.

The 865 hit a bit harder off the bottom, but after that, they felt pretty much the same. The dasa could benefit from more porting, and the XM would benefit from thier intake setup. You couldn't go wrong with either. The only thing I can say bad about the dasa is the fact that the piston skirt seems to touch the cases. Not sure if this is common but the last one I pulled down had self clearanced pistons! I'm happy to run as is, but something to keep an eye on.
