Flipping couches for fun and profit

Yes I don't even try to sell off season unless it's something like a Yamaha SUV , I just pickle them up, pull the batteries and put them inside for the Winter, why leave all that money laying on the table after you have done all that work ? I will be done with the porch roof repair this week ...

Flipping couches for fun and profit

I will get back at it in a bit , my girly has me repairing the roof on the porch right now and I had a bunch of stuff to take care of at my place here as well , just got done crawling up under my house to fix a leaky pipe today and my Seadoo repair gig was a lot better job than this lol .

    Electrical Help Please

You can't check amps without a special meter or a shunt for a meter, you are checking DC voltage , it should be less than 14.5 volts at 5000 or so RPM. If it's over 14.5 the voltage regulator is bad . You also need to do the AC voltage test on the source coil on the stator, that test is with...

    Electrical Help Please

It's a fairly simple process you can do at home with a five gallon bucket, battery acid, a piece of coathanger wire , some aluminum foil and a battery charger , I have done quite a few items here and there.

That's the wholeo point of the process and how you know the aluminum part has become an anode , you check it with an OHM meter.

    Electrical Help Please

Those type of crimps pictured on the cables suck period , I crimp connections all the time, for terminals I have the correct crimping tool, for cables I bought a hydraulic crimper , pretty much all the wiring I can see in his pics is questionable at best , maybe I might try to diagnose a ski...

    Electrical Help Please

You can do an AC voltage test on the Source coil , refer to the thread below , it should produce around 35VAC at cranking speed , with a LIPO battery it may spin a little faster and it may be a little high so if you can come up with a stock 16CL-B battery to check it with do so, if it's way...

    The Little Prince (1984 JS440)

Without the groove I see nothing to stop it from sliding around , I also remember one of my old 440's having edge trim on the hood , it still created a groove but it was a bit wider . I think my 440 was a 78 model.

    The Little Prince (1984 JS440)

What really keeps the hood in place is the groove that is created by the hood when it is clamped down repeatedly, that being said I wonder if you could for lack of a better word rout a groove into a Hydroturf seal with a router or shaper ? Watcon makes a hood seal I do not know the density of...

    Electrical Help Please

it wasn't trying to it did at least for a short period of time anyway . I had a Waveventure 1100 that was having all kinds of electrical gremlins , at some point someone replaced the starter and cross-threaded the top starter bolt that the ground cable goes on to , the bolt of course was tight...

    Electrical Help Please

I don't even know where to start with that wiring , so much going on there that just isn't correct My suggestion start with the simple stuff , new ground and power cables with the ground cable grounded to the starter bolt , ditch the nasty power lead with the fuse holder in it , start over...

So your Yamaha 701-760 won't start ( what to check before making a new thread)

Ok the first section delved into the ignition , but maybe nothing is happening when you hit the start button so let's look into that . Here is the quick and dirty method . The first place to start is the start stop switch , coming off the switch somewhere close to the electrical box on a...

That looks to be a Magneto cover bolt unless I am looking at it wrong , not the right place for a ground cable either way.

Does anyone have pics of a set of these installed in a ski , I am trying to see if they will work on my setup or not before I pull the trigger on a set. I have searched numerous builds here and on PWCT and while I do see pics of the brackets I see no pics of them installed in the ski that...
