Hood Rat to Hot Rod... Js300/440/550 Thing.

i think you should wear a life vest. bond lines are extremely useful in all applications. i feel like that ski will roll over like a log if you fall off. also, with that much work into it, why not mold in a superjet handlepole bracket in order to use a newer superjet style handlepole? that...

    New Racer w/ Noobie Questions

All in all racing is so much fun and you will become a much better rider if you work at being aggressive and stay on the ski. If nothing else, go watch the races and see what they are all about. It can be pretty intimidating at first, especially at a large event like a tour stop. Hope this helps

SXR Double checking my recent rebuild, need some help.

your main jets should be 152.5 for break in, general consensus seems to be to just ride it around varying the throttle and dont hold it wide open for a while.

    SXR Yoo guys! Sxr stalling....

what carbs? do you have adequate compression? does your fuel tank hold pressure? did you do a leakdown test? are your fuel lines in good shape and free of obstruction? what do the tops of the pistons look like(piston wash)? the more information you can give the better, simply because it is...

    Skat trak or Solas pumps?

in a "cruiser" ski i would not consider a mag pump necessary. is it better than stock? sure. will you notice a difference on just a cruiser ski? probably not... now, in race chop you probably would find it necessary, but otherwise..not so much. you can pick up a used 750/800 pump pretty cheap...

    Skat trak or Solas pumps?

....if cruising is your thing i wouldnt think it smart to buy a $1200 pump...a good impeller and 80mm nozzle would be perfect

    Skat trak or Solas pumps?

yes you can, i personally would get a pipe before a mag pump though...

    New to SXR's

he means...you are modifying it without even coming close to mastering it "as is". truth is..no one masters a stock ski before modding them and its a shame. it makes you a WAY better rider if you ride a stocker for a year or so
