SXR Double checking my recent rebuild, need some help.

Hello,

I recently rebuilt my top end and installed factory wet pipe. I have put everything back on and followed the factory wet pipe instructions for installation. I have my main jets at 125.5 and pilot jets are 80, air mixture screws have been turned to the proper adjustments now. MY QUESTION IS: WHAT IS THE PROPER BREAK IN PROCEDURE ON MY 08 SXR??? Stock everything except water box, wet pipe, jets, pro-x standard bore pistons. I refuse to start it until I hear the words of people who ride these skis.

Guy at local shop told me it was oil injected and instructed me from there...I don't think I'll take his advise.

your main jets should be 152.5

for break in, general consensus seems to be to just ride it around varying the throttle and dont hold it wide open for a while.

Yes, main jet is 152.5, I had the numbers mixed up. I ran it a couple times with low throttle on stand with hose hooked up to it and then went for a water test. It sounds like it has a rev limiter, but it isn't going faster than 5mph. Any ideas? I've been defeated on this one....

probably your temp sensor or running on 1 cylinder..do you have spark?
