The through hull fitting includes a rubber stopper which the stock steering cable slides through and then is compressed and makes a water tight fitting. I don't see anyway that monster steering cable is making its way through that tiny hole in the rubber stopper. Try to drill the hole out...
Intake grate looks way better after recip saw and a bit of grinding.
Anybody familiar with Blowsion's heavy duty steering cable. One end has a longer sheath part then the other. Which end goes to the handle bars and which end goes to the steering nozzle?

Have to remove this much material. Since I don't have a band saw, I'm thinking 4" angle grinder with cut off wheel. Any better suggestions?

Built my mid shaft using a GP1200 housing which has 2 aluminum arms sticking out. Cut one off and drilled out the other one to accept the rubber shroud holder thing. Works like it was meant to be.
Jet Dynamics intake grate is going to require quite a bit of grinding. Had to cut the wings off...
Great point and good information. Earlier Freakrider suggested adding an addition spacer washer when installing the coupler on the midshaft threads. Hence allowing you to press the shaft further back through the housing and affording both better driveshaft overlap while still having good coupler...
Next question... First, it was a nightmare twisting those breather tubes up through the pole bracket. I ended up spraying everything with silicone spray, but it was still a PITA. I'm using a stock SJ pole bolt and supplied ATP spring and spring perch. The only way I could see running the...
Full motor tear out. Put in a new driveshaft/pump assembly and new midshaft and still had to time to get the kid out on the ski so he could practice.
I got to use my Cold Fusion alignment tool for this build and my previous drive shaft install was a pinch low. So I re shimmed the pump and she...
Luckily I had already built another Solas 144 mag pump for my FootRocket build, so I'm just swapping stuff around. My original prop is a Hooker 10/16 (left) and the one on the right is a Skat Trak that I had them make similar to a 10/16. Can't tell if you can see from the pic, but there seems to...
Three seasons in my Superjet with JetManiac 781 big bore, 44mm carbs sitting on Protec intake and running 10/16 hooker prop.
So is the stripped out spline due to mis alignment (I didn't have my Cold Fusion alignment tool back when I put this ski together) or is three seasons expected life...
The only problem I see with your install is the 90 degree brass fitting should be barbed instead of threaded. It will be difficult to put a water hose on those threads.

Exactly... It's a separate line. A lot of times you get small rocks blocking your cooling lines to you dual tapped exhaust manifold and if you have two places on your pump sending water up, who cares if one gets blocked. You still get to keep riding for the day and no overheating.

This is a 155mm pump, but conceptually the same thing as a 144mm pump. Stock cooling fitting on stator section of pump.
Drilled, tapped and fitted with a 1/8" 90 degree brass fitting to serve as second cooling line.
You'll connect a water line from this brass fitting to the line that acts...
That's one way to do it. Your exhaust manifold has been drilled and tapped with a second brass 90 fitting (stock they only come with one fitting). So, either you bought it that way or you drilled and tapped it yourself. If that's the case then setting up real dual cooling won't be a problem for...
Thanks for the pic it's helpful to understand what's in there. I just installed mine and never even checked what PSI it was set at. Gonna pull it out and check mine tonight. What's the recommended range for PSI on it?
Or do you just keep tightening it and feel how hot your head gets?

Factory B pipe. Yea, Josh just told me that it might be a problem. Although, I am not using the stock Superjet eBox mounts. I chose to use rubber anti vibration mounting spacers. It causes the eBox to be mounted tightly up against the firewall. I'm hoping when I drop the motor into shim all is...
Ebox holes drilled and using rubber center pieces from sanding drums to act as standoffs and anti vibration mechanisms for the ebox. Not sure how it will work, but we will see.
Also drilled and mounted dual bilge outlets. I didn't have a scupper installed so I have to rely on bilges working...
