    2015 fiberglass Phantom

Drilling and tapping the three 155 reduction nozzles I have. Two of them are the upsweep type nozzles and one is straight. Anybody have experience with either type and their thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2015 fiberglass Phantom

Orientation of midshaft bolts are not the same as that of a Superjet. So no go on the Blowsion dual bilge bracket. Either will have to fabricate my own or just epoxy the bilge bases to the bottom of the hull. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2015 fiberglass Phantom

155 pump is shimmed and aligned. Midshaft alignment tool indicates no shimming necessary for the midshaft. Front bow eye had to be mounted a bit off center because of location of internal water box bracket point. Not that big of deal from the outside. Pole bracket all ready to be...

If you rotate the stator section do you then have to pull out all the alignment dowel pins? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2015 fiberglass Phantom

OK... So who's built a Thrust EZ-Flow Pro trim system before? I have a minty 155mm pump from a donor 98 XL1200 that I planned on using for this build. So I picked up the Thrust trim system minus the reduction nozzle cause I didn't see the sense in dropping $100 for a nozzle when I already have...

    FootRocket build (FINALLY)

Spoke with Zack at PHP about the fitment issue with the woodruff key and the slot on the 4 mill lightened crank. He recommended a quick sand and it should fit, it did. So, I got a package from Jetski Solutions which included 2 rewired ignition packs and a rewired stator. It's the first time I've...

    FootRocket build (FINALLY)

Sanded, then used my Harbor Freight soda blaster to clean the crud out of all the hard to reach areas. Lastly, soaked in a mixture of Trisodium Phosphate and really hot water. BTW, I'm not sure what kind of reaction that stuff has with aluminum, but it turns it really dark grey. Lastly, hit it...

    FootRocket build (FINALLY)

I was just saying that the FootRocket is a more involved build. Here is a list of things I have to do on the FootRocket that I don't have to do on the Phantom. 1. Install pump shoe 2. Install scupper valve 3. Drill and tap motor mount plates 4. Install a Watcon hood seal 5. Clean epoxy out of...

    2015 fiberglass Phantom

It's sorta correct and a long story, but yes I put $1,500 DOWN PAYMENT on a Phantom and then believed that money was taken with no intention of providing me a hull. Josh reached out to me after the story became very public and chose take responsibility for his partner and ultimately build me...

    2015 fiberglass Phantom

Not really an update, but here's the 155mm OEM pump I put together last night. This is the first time I will be trying a 155 and I wasn't sure what prop to get so I picked this up on the cheap via eBay. Hope it works out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2015 fiberglass Phantom

Since both the FootRocket and Phantom are bare hulls right now, I'm gonna pick up a scale and weigh them both Friday and see where they come in at. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2015 fiberglass Phantom

I don't know if this constitutes the start of a build, but the damn thing is finally out of my basement and now in the back of Mazda3 hatchback ;) Any of you that have been following, know I'm in the midst of a FootRocket build now as well (long story, but I ended up with two aftermarket...

    FootRocket build (FINALLY)

OK... Got a few things put together this weekend and getting closer to dropping things into the FootRocket. BTW, went to drop a woodruff key into the crank and bolt on the flywheel, but the woodruff key was too wide... Thought about it for a few minutes and figured it's cause the crank is a...

    FootRocket build (FINALLY)

Another funny fact. With the two centering dowels in the stator they don't match up with the centering holes on the reduction nozzle. They are off, just enough... to not allow the two pieces to seat together. I grabbed a stock SJ reduction nozzle and the two pressed together no problems. I...

    FootRocket build (FINALLY)

Today I rebuilt two mid shafts and my new Solas 144 mag pump (I have another mag pump in my Superjet). So, the problem I ran into on the pump build is when I attached the Raider reduction nozzle (with X-Metal trim) and noticed all the slop (my Superjet has a standard non trim reduction nozzle...
