44mm SBN mikuni carb pop-off values way out of line with chart

I have a pair of 46mm SBNs that I just bought and are still in the box. I'm gonna see what this Mikuni pop-off gauge displays with them. Interested to see what happens seeing that they are brand new and never been touched. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

yea I checked that right away. Pulled both arms out, held them out in front of me and they both looked straight as an arrow.

44mm SBN mikuni carb pop-off values way out of line with chart

Possible... but it is a brand new Mikuni pop-off gauge. If so, how would you test it for accuracy? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

44mm SBN mikuni carb pop-off values way out of line with chart

Oh... I guess I never asked a question. What do you think would account for these much lower than expected values? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

44mm SBN mikuni carb pop-off values way out of line with chart

I have a dual set of 44mm SBN mikuni carbs that I was testing pop-off values on last night. Problem was the values that the Mikuni chart says I should expect to see were WAY off. I've been running these on my JetManiac 781 big bore for like 2 years now with pretty good results. I've had the...

The blind leading the blind FootRocket build

Got the below message from Nick. This really isn't a big deal. Hell, it's actually probably better. This way I get to line everything up and ensure that my tapped motor mount holes are layed out exactly where they should be. No sweating manufacturing errors and inconsistencies. Only down side...

The blind leading the blind FootRocket build

I sent Nick Barton an email asking him what his thoughts are. I suspect he's gonna say "drop your motor in and get the couplers lined up and then mark and drill the plate". I just want to know if everyone else's plates are tapped (threaded)?

The blind leading the blind FootRocket build

OK, so it's been sitting in the workshop for over a week while I continue to order and WAIT on build parts to show up at my doorstep. So I'm gonna start with questions that I I hope people who own or have built a FootRocket will weigh in on. First... did anyone else's bed plates come...

    Remove decals

Did this last year on my 96 superjet. This is what I came up with. Decal removal: I didn't find heat to help at all. I found if you get a piece of the decal started, pull it a parallel to the surface you are removing it from (e.g. don't pull it out away from the hull). Keep it tight up...

Guess what showed up on my doorstep today

Right now I have a used set of PROKs, but I recently had a problem with then breaking apart. Several people have said Tau Ceti is the way to go for long term use.

Guess what showed up on my doorstep today

Spoke with Nick Barton for a while about the hull and then sent my PayPal payment on July 22, 2014. Then exactly 22 days later August 13, 2014 I drove out to the United Airlines cargo building in Pittsburgh and picked it up my \m/, Krash Industries FootRocket ,\m/. Customs was kind of a pain...
