The rivets really aren't going to do much but hold it all together until your epoxy dries, if the epoxy fails no rivet or screw will hold it together for any extended amount of time.
I would use 1/4", 3/16" rivets are a little loose in the holes of the lower aluminum piece. Probably better to drill it a little larger than to have some slop.
Was just working my way to the bottom of the page to say exactly what Bruceski said. I always choke the carbs with my hands to get them to pull fuel for the first time, it gets the fuel lines primed quick without running the motor lean.
If the ski is going to spend a lot of time floating upside down like you say, I would invest in a real internal fill. Cutting a hole in your tank WILL leak.
Looks like you were late on the gas after the hop, look at Wakerider's video, right after the nose hits the water he is WFO.
