I know for a fact that the ADA head requires some superficial trimming of the plastic flame arrestor lid, it is quite possible that some other heads have larger dimensions that could interfere with the metal base so I would definitely be sure before ordering.
Even the ADA head requires the OEM flame arrestor to be modified a bit. You could possibly have a spacer plate made to bring the flame arrestor assembly up above the head. Post a picture of your setup and why it doesn't fit.
