    Freestyle Cutting back a prop

    You also need to machine the recess (non-threaded area) where the prop threads onto the shaft by an equal amount to what you take off the rear surface. Stare at it, it will make sense.

    Just rebuild it with a new shaft...it will be fine. Looks like the threads got galled at some point.

    I love the 61x platform myself. I've built all the way up to a ss865 and it is the smoothest, easiest to tune package I've dealt with to date.

    Custom/Hybrid Sxr 1200

    What did you do to seal the pump to the hull? Looks like cut-down pump ears and inserts for smaller bolts into hull, but can't tell if there's a seal or just silicone. Very cool project!

    Don't overlook case porting either....I'm running a SS865 topend on a set of heavily ported 61x cases and it rips!
