Hmm....I've machined about 20 SXR props for 650 pumps and never had this problem. The driveshafts I've used were ZXI and STX shafts and they go all the way in until it hits the internal O-ring (bumper) between the pump shaft and driveshaft. I've never seen the splines be a limiting factor. It...

Have him machine 6mm off the mating surface and then counter bore the threaded area and equal amount to maintain the same amount of recessed area after the 6mm is removed from the mating surface. If he can't understand what to do from this description, do yourself a favor and send it to Impros.

Clear coat would be kiss of death if you ride saltwater. Dupont Teflon Silicone is amazing stuff for saltwater.

With the lowered bracket the pole doesnt follow the line of the hood anymore. this causes the pole to hit the front section of the hood before it hits the rubber bumper at the back of the hood. That makes any down force on the pole once it hits the hood attempt to break (stock pole), or bend...

It's correct. I had one of these and removed it though. It makes the pole not fit the hood properly and put a ton of stress on the pole.

it's just PVC. Heat up a piece of PVC with a heat gun and shape it same as the factory piece. I like to use a female threaded end on the tube instead of just siliconing the retaining nut fixture into the tube. (less chance of leakage into foam).

My bellows were full of oil after 6 tanks of fuel.....I think it's just the way it is and it doesn't seem to effect operation.
