650/X-2 Possible cooling issue while on trailer

Also, the stock pisser line/fitting is very small, 1/4" I think. If yours is larger and you keep the setup stock, I would make it smaller so it holds more water in and keep the pressure.

650/X-2 Possible cooling issue while on trailer

At this point, I would start from scratch if you want to modify the pipe. I would do it, its way better than stock. Check out http://www.pwctoday.com/showthread.php?t=148631. Right now it looks like it is stock set up, and the way things are, not having anything come out of the pisser is...

650/X-2 Possible cooling issue while on trailer

yep, there will be a nipple at the back side. You will want it capped off if it isnt. Check out the pic of this pipe. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kawasaki-650sx-x2-exhaust-/122339990010

650/X-2 Possible cooling issue while on trailer

Also, I think you should move the water outlet of the head pipe. With how it is now, the head pipe is probably never filling with water and therefore getting hot. This is how I had my dried out pipe.

650/X-2 Possible cooling issue while on trailer

There is a water fitting at the back of the pipe, stock it setup has it connecting to one of the through hull lines. Do you still have that connected or is it capped off?

Should dribble a little bit at idle. How hot was the pipe and head, enough to sizzle water? How do you have your water routed?

I think the Pros came started to come with them, but they can be easily retrofitted on any 750.

    A Back Flippin' 550!

Once you finish glassing everything in you will need to fill all of the voids with foam. 4lb foam is pretty standard

    Kawasaki hull

Depending on the kind of riding you do, you may want to keep the cylinder you have. It will have a little better bottom end than a SXi cylinder but sacrifices top end. That pipe and carbs will lean themselves more to the top end of the spectrum. So that setup will be better for carving...

    Kawasaki hull

For carbs you have dual SBN44s or 46s. Only way to tell is to measure the venturi. You can mix and match SP cylinders on BP bottom ends with a little work to the bottom of the sleeves. Take a look at the intake on the crankcase, if it has 12 studs its big pin, if it has 10 its small pin. The...

The number specifies the cylinder type, there are several different port configurations 750 cylinders have. The 22 is a from a sitdown. Kind of a middle of the road porting. SXI would have had a 24 or 29 casting which has higher port timings and therefore more top end.

    Kawasaki hull

Yep, its definitely a SX or SXi, they are the same. The marking we are looking for on the motor is a stamp in a circle. It will be a number like 22 or 29 or something similar.

    Kawasaki hull

Pros are only hand laid glass on the bottom, everything else is SMC. Its hard to see in the motor pic, but based on the outside and how the front is shaped I think its a SX, or SXi. A better pic of the inside would help, also a pic of the bottom. Take a few closer pics of the motor. There...

Runs 5 seconds and dies, need choke to run.... why?

The only SXI with Keihen's is the 95, all others have Mikunis. When you rebuilt the carbs, did you clean all of the passages and jets? The Mikuni rebuild kits are the only way to go but I dont think that is what is causing this issue.

    SX/SXi/SXi Pro Hull extensions

Arnt those for sxi pros and wont match the strake pattern of a sx or sxi hull? My sxi doesn't porpoise at all so your issues may be riding position or intake grate? If your riding surf, you want a shorter hull anyway, the extensions would do more harm than good.

    coffman Pipe on 750sxi

Impellers are easy if you have the tool and a vice. It will be a improvement over stock, but the condition of your stock one will determine how much.

    coffman Pipe on 750sxi

Ryan, Please do not listen to anthonys/timothys, his advise is all BS. Compression specs on the 750 motor are 110-155 psi. Your 135 is fine and depending on your elevation, may be the reason for it. Obviously more is better but you are well within specs. For a impeller for a stock/near stock...
