To check your gas tank vent make sure that you can blow air into it. If you cannot blow into it, then the vent needs to be replaced.

If you haven't started wearing wide toe box shoes like xero and Altra's I highly recommend it!

Find a push/pull place that builds cables. Lots of them around places with boats and or farm equipment. Take them your cable and they will make you a new one.

What motor and size chain are you using? You might be able to find a smaller motor sprocket. Or go with a gear reduction motor...

What controller are you using? Are you not able to add a throttle and control the speed? something like this should work unless you need a ton of amps...
