Your waterlines are kind of upside down. Your pipe is creating air bubbles right now. Head goes to bottom of b-pipe, and top of head pipe goes to the end of chamber. As far as the heat goes, just take off the head pipe and pull off water screws and blow into it. See if its clogged.

When I had the FX1 gas tank in my boat, I used a piece of rubber. The turf breaks down over time with all the rubbing and heat.

A true 144 SJ pump: 13/17, bored reduction nozzle...It gets the job done. I am pretty sure the only people with big pumps are on the forums or know someone through the forums. Most every other FX1 owner doesn't know about the pump swap and still running stock ones.
