We got a camping trip planned in Moabi that weekend. Sucks too, cuz the promoter was trying to get me to do the race because its a ski and sport class only event. Oh well.

Yea, made it back ok. Just noticed yesterday that one of my tires on the trailer was bulged out, glad it made it. Other races? Don't know of any that anywhere near me. If the Bayfair in San Diego happens, I'll do that. I'm thinking about World Finals this year perhaps.

Just thought I would throw an update out there. I was able to get my new crank to fit another set of cases that didn't have such a bad mismatch. However, the crank that came out of that set of cases (OEM), fits my original cases. I was fine with that, whatever. So I moved on and guess...

Ok, thats good to know. I have another motor that I'm gonna rip appart this weekend. Hopefully those cases don't have the lip hanging over.

Here is my old crank which I assume is OEM. It measured 61mm at the point I show in the picture. The new one measure about 1 mm wider. If anyone has a crank laying around and they could take this measurement, I would appreciete it.

The serial numbers on each half match, but you're right, they look like a mismatch to me. The grooves for the seals match up and everything. My old crank spins fine, but it is about 1mm thinner on that part of the crank. The crank builder told me it fits a set of cases he has just fine.

Can somebody look at this picture and tell me if this is fugged up or what? My new crank wont fit my cases and this is what I find. The bottom half has about a 1 mm difference from the top half. The crank spins fine in the top half but when I put the bottom half on, it rubs and wont spin.

You should be very careful doing subs without foam. You could easily sink it if your motor stalled out and you sucked in alot of water.
