the cheap 550 starters are trouble prone.only the oem kawi is recommended. check your start solenoid and jump directly from battery to starter for testing.check battery and all wiring associated.measure voltage and amp draw if you can a visual check will not cut it.

novi,full spectrums,blackjacks,riva,thrust etc... all are good carbs if tuned correctly.

it's already a borderline accurate test,so a 3 or 4 sec run is kind of short to clean the plug.

true but going closed loop allows for finer real world tuning instead of relying on a map that was established on a dyno somewhere. that said,motorized vehicles have run just fine using canned maps.
