    Check around the engine to plate bolts for black fretting residue, it will indicate a crack or loose bolts. I once had all four bolts come loose because I used to many coats of paint on the plate.

    It would not be too small for general use, maybe a little for freestyle. A single needs to be smaller than the largest useable dual because it has a lower strength vacuum pulse. The biggest carb is fine for freestyle type throttling but may not work for long WOT runs.

    The vane needs to hang below the hull for best results at low speeds or in rough water. For instance a Worx 201 or the old Watercross grate is a full 1/2 below where as the original Aquavane is flush. No technical info is ever in the add.
