Freestyle mikuni 46 carb performance?

Ok guys im building a 750sx and i have had a 750ss since 95 which i sold a couple years back. The 750ss had a factory pipe,R&D head and 10/18 prop. I ran the stock 40 Keihin carb rejetted. My 750ss ran awesome and had great performance for the weight of the hull. I have been reading about putting bigger carbs on the 750 small pin motors and im wondering if a 46sbn would give me the same performance if not better that the stock 40 Keihin. I have read on Group K that they state you lose some carb signal going to a bigger throat carb compaired to a small throat one?

Will aftermarket parts like Reed stuffers and reed spacers help out with the throttle responce and also putting in boyeson reeds?

Thanks

Considering your 10/18 impeller, a single 46 is too big. Find a Keihin 42 or SBN44 and use a stock Kawasaki or Yamaha flame arrestor for ease of tuning.
