    A short cone doesnt do much. Since your nozzle is already bored find either a flatter impeller or more power.

    The old 650sx is harder to plane compared to a Superjet. Check the rideplate extension, they are easily bent and will cause uncontrollable porpoising.

    I dont know where MFGs get their leading edge number, it seems to be made up. All modern impellers are cambered so that the leading edge is very flat, it looks like your is a little steeper than others. Bending the trailing edge down will increase the load a lot.

    The Sizzler manifold will need to be positioned very carefully in order to get much gasket sealing area. They didnt give you much material to work with.

    Its that impeller, way too much load. If both boats were truly the same except cases, the difference would be small.

    They make good power, in fact it was the one that made FPP increase their HP claims from 12 to 19. Make sure that all the bolts in the bracket and head stay tight, if even one gets loose the small V-band clamp will break.

    A local rider had a 650SX with a stock SXI engine/coffmans 650 pipe that would flat outrun most Superjets in Dallas.

    You should get close to 7000 on the trailer. Smooth water rpm will be where ever the pump is set. Tune the top screws a few rpm rich of peak and make 1/4 throttle sputter slightly with the pilots. Tune the bottom screws well rich of peak at idle on the trailer.

    Stock 760 jetting is not far off. Just open the top screws and install 120 pilots. The popoff may need to be lowered a notch.

    There is not many modern impellers that are low enough for 650-701 engines. The hooker 9-15 is as close as I have found.

    That should still be useable with a bored nozzle and pitched down impeller. You trade a little response for more thrust.

    Porting generally comes in two flavors, race and freestyle. There are plenty of old race cylinders and botched port jobs around to sell new guys that dont know the difference. Higher exhaust ports will make lower than "expected" compression and need custom pump work to get half decent response...
