Chisel, more than always, the reason they fail is due to a bad ground wire. The MSD enhancers need a perfect ground signal with very little resistance.

There are no risks that arent inherent with any other non properly tuned carb. its not like the term "lean burn" means they are ticking time bombs... it just means they probably run at a 15-16:1 AFR instead of a 13-14:1.

For one, using yamaha mounts will be more work than its worth. Especially if your talking about using the stock bedplates. they are non symmetrical and really glassing new mounts in the hull would be a total PITA. Id recommend sticking with the 550 mounts, OR modify using sea doo 720...

My 2 cents. I did just a straight pull... I never use it. I find it far to confusing to always let off the throttle, pull the trim, and jump back on throttle all in time to do a flat water trick perfectly. I would have much rather gone with a pulley system, at least that way you can...
