    The electric Jet ski!!

ok, question, what are you guys thinking as far as a sealing a cooling system? I was throwing this idea around a few years ago and was in contact with hacker industries to see if we could build a strong enough brushless dc setup. the problem we we're running in to was being able to keep the...

    The electric Jet ski!!

what sucks is even if you get it to where it will "work" , it will run for about 15 20 minutes, then take two or three days to recharge. if you come up with some kind of compound that will hold and output more voltage, and not take as long to recharge, you're getting really close to running...

    The electric Jet ski!!

crab, I actually placed "shock" before "pissed" because that is the sequence in which they will occur.

I would be worried about getting the shock pissed out of me.

300/440/550 81' j440 whats the largest engine that fits

if that was true matt, they would still be using mixed flow setups on sxr's, superjets, and hs's. the 550 pump was designed to create decent thrust with low horsepower and a medium pitched prop, and low rpms. it's like squeezing your thumb over the end of a waterhose. the problem with it is...

300/440/550 81' j440 whats the largest engine that fits

well, here's another thing to consider with my 440/550 setup, on this old pipe I have the headpipe literally dumps 3/8" of water flow directly into the exhaust stream at the conjunction between the headpipe and the chamber, so that has a lot to do with the differences between the two setups of...

300/440/550 81' j440 whats the largest engine that fits

that's funny that fox says the 440 pumps don't work for low end. I have one setup with an '81 440 pump, stainless skat 13 degree prop, stock '82 550 motor, single regular bn44 carb stock head with no head gasket, sealed with 1211, making 175 lbs of compression, full-water flow shorty stainless...

300/440/550 81' j440 whats the largest engine that fits

if he's putting an 800 in there, go with a 15/20 and a top loader grate. it will damned sure pull him out of the water, regardless. my buddy towed a friggin pontoon boat with his setup and it was just a slightly modded 550 with a 440 pump, 17 degree prop. it wasn't all that slow of a tow either.

300/440/550 81' j440 whats the largest engine that fits

I'm sure they're much smaller than fx-1 pumps. if it's for a conversion ski he needs a post '86 440 or 300sx pump, and a 19 degree prop. a 14/19 solas would be perfect.

not sure the exact numbers, the 550 diameter is larger, but the flow volume is less.

    Mikuni SBN "atomizer" mod

lol... I'm not assuming he doesn't know, I just said his descriptions and the way he explains it is very vague, leading me to believe he's a little on the blind side of it. leaning towards the "retardation"...lol and yes, and proper "press fit" would be the way to do it. that's not what he...
