    How important is foam density?

I think this is a USCG requirement for hull displacement to vehicle weight. That is how the SXR15 got so large.

What's your view look like today?

Added a flush port to the Matrix and cleaned up the plumbing. Also added a custom two tone Blowsion lever.

    How important is foam density?

IMO a sealed or semi sealed cavity is better regardless of what kind of foam it is. The open tray, pool noodle stuffed situation really leaves a lot of room for water to fill and negate the buoyancy of the small amount of foam you fit in there. Foam density really will only be a significant...

850 group K Hammer kit vs 850 Big bore Blowsion ?

My gut would say, stick with a 760-780cc ported setup with OEM parts. Unless you are going with an aftermarket cylinder.

Who had a bad day at Newport Beach?

How crazy is it that they found their way into that break at all and thought they where good. OR that the rental company didn't warn them not to go there? It's not like you are just riding along in the ocean then bam, inside the wedge, they had to see those waves as they where heading in.

Rickter FR2 vs. Trinity Matrix a practical freeride review.

I do feel like either would be pretty damn hard to replace if I wanted to but after a great session this past weekend on the FR2 I have decided that it is the best fit for my riding style. The Matrix is an excellent hull and if it was my only ski, I would be more than happy with it but right now...

Rickter FR2 vs. Trinity Matrix a practical freeride review.

This is exactly the argument going on in my head. It really is on another level of build quality over the Rickter as well (probably over most hulls out there, especially most built more than 8 years ago). The Rickter is a Toyota Supra and the Matrix is a Ferrari 458. Just typing this is messing...

Rickter FR2 vs. Trinity Matrix a practical freeride review.

Well.....the wife says yes. There is also no legitimate reason I would need to have two skis. They are both awesome, like really awesome. I will keep riding them both and tweaking on them for now. I may completely swap the drivelines if one doesn't sell in the near future. I think the carbon...
