Yep, we found some dual pulse cases locally. Holjen's cases look nice and the price is great we just saved a bit of work with a set already running dual pulse lines.

So you are measuring the bore, surfacing them, re-measuring the bore then comparing that to the actual measured bearing OD?

I suspect they where property torqued but didn't build it myself.

It was a hot rods crank (japanese bearings) in an, allegedly, low hour engine. I question how low hour it was, the piston skirts showed a bit of wear. I think she was also drinking some water.

I would be very curious to see what is going on inside that cylinder. It looks to me they added material somehow for extra transfer port volume....unless it is some kind of aftermarket cylinder.

The option to tweak on it yourself is there but honestly you just buy one from a reputable dealer with a pre-set curve, plug it in and ride, same as MSD (but with a more desirable curve). The short answer is, a better curve map and more powerfull spark than MSD, plug and play. I'd contact Paul Lehr.
