The only reason for him to build the Superjet hull is for the Superjet loyalist. Anyone who rides his light weight SXR setup will more then likely want the SXR... I recomend putting a Ported 701 with a pipe in the SXR platform.... Light, nimble...

You should look into the Fuel channel Nick.... With brighthouse I only pay a extra 3 bucks for that and a couple more channels.... you can add it to basic cable, thats what I did.... Its the only channel that makes it worth having cable for me. :Banane35:
If you buy a GOOD aftermarket hull it should last many years ( XFT or Trinity)... If you dont mind a heavier ski that will hold up, then Watercraft Factory may be fine.
A built motor will just cause lots of headacs, and you boat will still feel really heavy.

Pismo is the last spot that I would worry about getting hassled by the law. They are more worried about the squids being idiots in the Dunes.... as they should.

I dont know all the math on power to weight, but If you compare a 110lb OEM hull to a 60lb XFT flatwater hull..... Im pretty sure it would take more then a 5mm stroker to equal the 50lb lighter power to weight ratio.
