Sweet thanks for the advice guys. Gonna look into it now. I agree, if I'm taking the time to learn it I might as well learn one that is useful later on.

Ahh got it. I have a printer (ultimaker 2). Just looking for cad software. What would you recommend for mac? Keep in mind I don't have that much experience yet with cad programs, but want to learn and be able to make some cool stuff.

    98' RN Restoration

Got all the filler/epoxy sanded down and did some fiberglassing! Also found a crack on the side under the bond rail so I fixed it... Next is sand it down after it cures and put some 8.9 oz cloth for a smoother finish. Then reinforce inside with 1708 biax.

    98' RN Restoration

Bolted up the ride plate with the end caps attached and filled/ glued them in place. Tomorrow I will remove the ride plate, sand a bit, then start putting fiberglass on. Will probably do 2 layers of 1208 biax and a layer of 8.9 oz cloth on outside, then 2 layers of 1708 biax on inside.

    Plastic Pump Shoe Removal

I just removed a broken one from my RN. Pulled out screws and hit it with hammer. Popped right out. On a side note...ill take the plastic one off your hands if you manage to get it out without breaking it lol. :D

Little repair on the back and got a little of the foam in where the void was made from shortening. Will glass that over once I get the end caps put on and fiberglassed in place. I cut it so that I could use the same rideplate bolts inserts. Will use a cut down SN plate.

    98' RN Restoration

Very productive day today! Cut tray, de-foamed, sanded, sanded...sanded some more. There are a lot bad patch jobs on this thing...see pictures. Got everything prepped to cut 4 inches off bottom and re-glass back together tomorrow. Everyone says how bad de-foaming is...I kinda enjoyed it lol...

    98' RN Restoration

Got quite a bit of sanding and prep done today. Placed my US composites order yesterday, can't wait till this part is done and I get to start the glass work. The deeper I get into this the more of a basket case it becomes. There are cracks all over the place. Gonna reinforce the side walls and...
