kawi 650 ignition to 750 ignition, 900cc stroker

agreed with the better timing curve, but unless you're racing, and all you're after is low end, you can set it and leave it.

kawi 650 ignition to 750 ignition, 900cc stroker

    a 650 flywheel is lighter than a lightweight 750 wheel, isn't it?

kawi 650 ignition to 750 ignition, 900cc stroker

damn, and I thought WE were rednecks over here. :dunno: did that come out of a fishing boat conversion? just wondering how they had room for a fuel tank.

kawi 650 ignition to 750 ignition, 900cc stroker

Terry, why is there a distributor hooked to the front of that motor? doesn't it need to have more cylinders?

    550 backflip capable.....

you could probably flip it with a 550 engine, if the wave was tall enough and had enough of a lip on it.

    damn blowsion air filters

if you clean with laquer thinner and roughen up the surfaces with 220 grit paper, and use regular epoxy instead of jb weld, they will hold up just fine. it sucks that you have to recondition them to get them to stay together though.

    550 backflip capable.....

you might be able to do it with an inverted pump wedge, foot straps, and one hell of a wave in the ocean.

    300/440/550 JS 550 locked up.

you can pick up a good used crank fairly cheap from someone parting out their skis, but I would suggest buying a brand new one, or rebuilt one. when you buy one used you don't actually know how many hours are on it, and if you go to all the trouble to build the motor and there's only a few hours...

    Tanker Chasing On Galveston Bay

well, I might just be "seeing things" in that video, but it sure looks like he hit a few slicks there at the beginning around 0.11. :dunno:

    300/440/550 JS 550 locked up.

pull the motor as a "whole" and get it out of the ski, then try to turn the impeller shaft and the coupler on the motor before you determine the engine is locked up. it might just be the prop shaft bearings. if it's a js 550, you have bearings at the front of the shaft, and bearings in the pump...

Nose Modification "rocker" Thread.... making a sj a better surf ski.....

because, wouldn't the same physics apply at the lip of the wave as you're leaving it for a flip? :dunno: seems like it would.
