what you missed I think is that the front on the small pump is shimmed in your pic. take those out as that is what it will be like in ski and that drops the pump what 3/8-1/2 inch? lower the rear to get it level and now the 144 doesn't look so good. the ride plate with ribs is maybe 1/2 thick...

yes except you can replace it with a wear ring with the plastic liner. no more swelling and if it does get chewed up. 30-40 bucks gets a new plastic liner for it.

yeah what Bob said- please pull the bearing carrier and then reinstall your pump to make sure. if it is not sitting centered in the hole you're not done yet. I can't see how you could be even close judging by how much it has to drop down to hit the centerline.
