hey man, I'd copy other people's parts. :dunno:
there's only so many ways to skin a cat.
It's too bad that more well-known companies don't make standups. I mean there only one way to make certain parts for these things.
that's why there aren't "that many" customers. the entry cost of this sport is too far above "reasonable". And it's NOT a separate issue. it's all one and the same. The OP started this thread complaining about paying high prices to arrogant manufacturers for substandard parts. it's that same...
you don't think the latter it the cause of the former?..lol
I'm sure if the prices were lower there would definitely be more volume in sales. My point is, there's nothing wrong with the quality of those particular setups or components, it's just that 40 g's for a turnkey setup is crazy...
Like I said, what difference does it make how quickly they sell? The point is they SOLD...lol I'm sure the profit margins make up for all of the "dead" time in between, Matt. I mean, you sell two setups for a grand total of 80 g's, you can turn around build 4 or 5 of them with that kind of...
what difference does it make at what frequency they receive an actual "SOLD" sign? the point is, that's what they're being offered to the public for, and there are a few that have actually purchased them. you wanna talk about the consumers setting the "standard" pricing for this stuff? there's a...

really!? lol and turnkey boats carrying a price tag and selling for 40 g's when it doesn't take anywhere near that to bolt one together?
uhm... ok :dunno:
yeah, james didn't make it down there either. during the last few days before the race his front main bearing went out on the crank, so he spent that time trying to get it back together and running right.
matt, did yamaha start using the high-density polystyrene foam on the later model superjet hulls like the kawis? the handlepole on mine has tough styrene in it. I haven't cut into the hull yet.
bungee sux for a limiting strap.
if you get it short enough to be effective it becomes too much of a strain to hold up, which pretty much defeats the purpose of a pole spring.
also, when the pole flys forward and stretches the bungee, it will cause the pole to snap back to the hood with too...
