what it boils down to in regards to which hull is going to be best suited for you, is going to be contingent apon how much you weigh, how much particular "selected" hull weighs, how specific hull will perform with how much power, overall handling characteristics. there are a lot of variables...

because when the ski subs, the hood is going to put water into the engine compartment. you don't want water being dumped directly on top of the engine, or dragging along ceiling of the hood and dropped on top of the motor and intake. if it's dumped out of the hood at the bottom of the engine...
