You need to be sure that there is not too much pump load to begin with. This is a big problem with small engines because the hesitation will never go away. Big engines can pull almost anything. Carb tuning is the most important because you can burn a piston if its not right. Any change made...
A Superjet is OK with its stock 8mm cooling line. Old Kawasakis with 7mm lines and fittings will get hot enough to scald. Most electric bilge pump failures come from debris (zip-tie tail) stopping the pump. Siphons are good to keep if possible.
A mag stator doesn't add speed or thrust. It keeps producing where a stock pump struggles. Mags really shine in rough water and prime fast when they hit the water. A surf rider would benefit more from a pump. A river runner would want the pipe.
Not wanting to sound too negative BUT, citizens of the USA, are nothing but livestock to wealthy farmers. You have been told you must work harder and longer because it ultimately benefits them.

A plugged return line will effectively make the popoff lower whenever the engine is running. It will also force any air to be cleared through the jets causing excesive hesitation and lean runs. The only way gas can get into the engine is through a leaking regulator needle.
Use one of their ester based products, R50 and skicraft appear to be the most widely available. Castor tends to not mix well and is generally nasty. PAG oil will cause rust.
The sport has gone to the top wage earners. The main reason is lack of financing, gone are the days when a 21yo could go to a dealer and leave with a new ski for $120/mo. Now it is very expensive and the "elite" status of participation is a major driver of enthusiasm for the sport. Once there...
