that's the rectifier, with the green wires, Its your charging system it will run with this unit not in there but the battery will go flat.
You have to have it plugged in if you want to charge.
Pink Is the over heat system so leave it open.
Yes earth out the coil black wire.
Then fire it up, your...
All you should have to do is plug it in and hook a power wire to it. Of course because you are using a 62t setup you will have to put the coil earth to the box as they are done on the 760 and it should fire straight up
if you have the Green wires disconnected it will still run,
If you hook the white to the black your earthing out the ignition and it will not run as its getting the stop signal
I can see the issue straight away, There is a red wire of the zeeltronic that needs 12 volts on it. Its the female red wire. Most people just hook it straight to a 12 volt feed with no switch
Its not really making a huge difference to the operation. I'm about to by 2 more but I have no issue with the original one.
But yeah youre right on the price. I reckon you cant get better value for money. I'm building an x2 and it will run the same system
The point is now the need to have a power on off switch is gone. So it will turn off like a normal ignition and run with out every having to worry about the battery gong flat if your not using it
News in from zeeltronic
we are Just finishing new PDCIS-02T for GP760. It will have latched stop switch and automatic power down. CDI will draw only 0.5mA in power down, that means it does not need to be switched off any more...it will need few years to drain 19Ah battery.
Price is 175 euro...
The great thing is Borut is an easy guy to talk with and he is always trying to add extra features in to make the ignition better and better. This only serves to make things better for us
on road going two stroke say a kart or mx bike I would pull down that low up top, I have never found it to be worth while on a jetski, I used to go back that far now I don't they pull harder of you don't. I cant see the point of going any milder than the curve I have written but sure you could...
Well you have to think about it from an engines builders point of view. Its open source and as such its hard to make a profit from. You can buy the front cover your self and the cdi is very reasonably priced. There is better profit in selling an msd
MY thoughts on this are. Because its based on a analogue system there is not the base timing available between the pickup and tdc and so they hold the igntion for 160 degrees to get the advance they need to get a good curve. This is why we get back fires and cranks destroyed with some of the...
