    I have used 609 and 271.

    shorten SXR

Did you ever get that hull shortened? If so did it work as expected?

What could cause case sealant failure on almost new PV motor?

I have had success using high strength loctite between the bearings and case. It will often prevent all fretting, everything must be perfectly clean though . Kawasaki had huge fretting problems before 1994 then they installed plastic bands around the bearings and fretting largely vanished.

What could cause case sealant failure on almost new PV motor?

Make sure the surfaces are flat, I use a granite table with 320 wet with oil.

Need your input on new ignition "brain" design

All we really need is high rpm timing retard and a rev limiter. Those two items would have made 550s reliable.

    Is bigger better?

They want you to start small so they can sell two of everything before you leave the hobby.

61X Engine Build — big bore, porting, crank, jetting

Widen the exhaust a “little”??? How much is that??? How about a turbo and some nitro to go along with that porting! That will get him going in the right direction.

61X Engine Build — big bore, porting, crank, jetting

Bore it minimally as needed and use new OEM seals A little more power isn’t worth much unless you are racing.

    Is bigger better?

More thrust equals more altitude from flat water.

my sj hit rev limit so early

62T port heights and a type 4 pipe should rev over 7000rpm. You need to set the limit to 7500 or higher.

    B pipe routing/ tuning

Superjet style mufflers suck water off the bottom of the box at full throttle.. The FCV is there to stop extra water from entering and filling up the muffler at part throttle. All thats happening in the head pipe is a VERY tiny amount of cooling water leaking inside. Factory Pipe confused...

    Wave jammer

The old Jammer has a lot of hull area in the rear and the center of gravity is more forward than even a Superjet. This makes it very difficult to get the nose up. It may do a roll off a big wave but a flip wont be easy. Plus the stock pump wont hold any more power than a stock Superjet piped...

    62t single intake manifold

I would say a big single is okay for a surf only ski or anything that wont be held at full throttle very long. Its more difficult to get a big single to hold a consistent rich of peak setting and will toast a piston if you are not very careful. You can get an entire 61X case for less than a...

    Kawasaki X2 Yamaha 701 + 144 pump conversion

If you have better power and make the whole inlet larger you will get better low speed thrust and overall hookup. Moving the steering aft some helps smaller riders plus makes the ride drier. Changing to a Yamaha 144 is a lot of work for what most riders will gain. Making a Superjet fixed steer...

    1998 Superjet value

You are still fortunate to be a seller since most are willing to pay more for a running Superjet than all its parts would bring. I take the going rate and subtract $1500 for a new OEM crankshaft and top end since whats there is definitely old and likely rusty.

    Kawasaki X2 Yamaha 701 + 144 pump conversion

X2 tend to take in more water than a standup so an electric pump really helps. The hood has a crossover style vent system but that goes away when the top hump gets removed. A vent hose or two that crosses from top to the bottom of the hull will work very well but almost nobody ever does this...

Need your input on new ignition "brain" design

As a consumer group, we are not very sophisticated. Ideally a box that plugs in and works is what almost all your customers want. Im thinking a unit with separate boards for the high voltage side and low voltage control. Then work at making it super reliable. Right now the Zeel seems to be...

Is it a pain to drop a kawi 1100 into a blaster 2?

It will be a lot more time/effort than simply repairing the 760.
