Also for the record, my original issue ended up being the start stop switch as well. I checked it several times with a meter and it was reading good but was really faulty (electronics).

so I went to start my SJ on the trailer before putting it in the water (trailered it further than normal and I turned the fuel selector off when I normally leave it on), and put probably 4-5 shots of primer which is more than what I normally shoot in. The ski ran away and rev'd out of control...

Replaced ignition coil and took it out to the lake......still does it. Ran good around the lake the first time then started cutting out again (turns off like i hit the stop button). At one point I couldn't go 20 feet without dieing (shuts off). May be temp related...rode around the lake once...
