looks like the bilge bracket mounts to the intermediate shaft housing...i am guessing that the height of the int. housing to engine bay floor is different on aftermarket hulls. anyone know what tube size i should use for a trim tube?

check the start/stop switch, be careful, they can ohm out fine but still have an issue. I chased a similar problem, ski would just shut off at trandom times. You can also turn your idle way down and disconnect the black and white leads of the s/s, you can't shut the ski off when you do this but...
