    How deep do skis sink?

Good point. Like when people lock their keys in the car and a cop slim jims it, they always want proof of ownership, after they unlock it.

X2 on the OEM inserts. Way more thread depth, and won’t gall with stainless bolts.

IMHO your better off with that hose ran thru to the bottom of hull as in the 4th pic, rather than stopping it flush at the bracket. Harder for the water to get in if the boat is bobbing upside down riderless.

X2 on what Storbeck and Hornedogg are saying. As close to the pump box wall, so you can still get a socket on the retaining nut. This is what I had to grind on a 155 install where a 144 was for full range of motion.

    Tigercraft V3 and more

Where does this fit , or rather compare to the other SV’s ( SV1 SV2 SVPRO)? I’m behind on my Tigercraft nomenclature. I thought the V2 was the Aquabot fixed steer. I assume this is a SV (surf version) derivative? Seeing V3 in your thread title I was expecting some kind of fixy.

    Metal problem with fly wheel

Your magnets may have picked up some debris prior to assembly, or you could of had something hiding in the bendix. Check everything carefully, ( bendix, coils, cover , flywheel), you may have more now.

No sir. 2nd pic you can see the SBT delrin liner up against face of shoe. I use the SBT just for that reason, you can have it protrude out the front of the housing a little to account for rubber thickness of pump seal if you like. I usually just butt it up though, I’d rather have a good fight...

For what it's worth, when I set pump shoes I install the pump w/drive shaft , aligned w/ cold fusion tool to the bulkhead. I have the shoe just held with a bunch a bubble wrap around the driveshaft so I can flip hull over without shoe banging around. With pump and shaft aligned to bulkhead...

Squish looks right on. I’d just open up the shoe to 148 with a hand sanding drum.

    Midshaft Through Hull Tube

That’s the ID of sch 80 1 1/4 pvc, 1.204. HD or Lowe’s doesn’t carry any, and a lot of the Mom and Pop plumbing supply houses near me don’t either. Google sch 80 pvc for your area. If you’re in a pinch let me know, I got 60-100 feet of it in my yard, no charge for a hunk of it, sucks that...

    Midshaft Through Hull Tube

Your real close to 1 1/4 SCH80 PVC, ID is 1.204, but OD is 1 5/8. I’m thinking OD not critical?

Sounds like the same as the Aquabots and SV's I've ridden. They're fine carving, once you straighten out they throw up a wall of water you ride into.
