    Crank bearing failure and damage.

I've seen SEVERAL cases like this. The 65u 1200 seems prone to it. Clean everything, lap the case halves as Kevbo suggested, also clean the new crank bearings with brake parts cleaner. Seal up the case halves with case sealant AND at the same time, smear the sealant in the bearing grooves. Bolt...

Yes, filled with foam and shaped. I used PVC conduit set in the foam to build the "ears". I wanted a finished look but you still need access to the pole pivot bolt! Then foam was coated with epoxy resin, then glassed over and finished. Here's a rough-in pic for ya.

Well.........we finally put it in the water!! The first startup was very uneventful. It started up and sounded normal and I had to turn the idle speed up a little. Second startup was recorded, here's the vid. The rolled up aluminum mesh I shoved into the waterbox seems to have worked out great...

I used my new plasma cutter to make some ears........that I welded onto some angle........to make bow stops for the stand-up trailer I'm building.

    Flywheel Ring gear

I clock them all exactly across from each other as to keep a neutral balance.........no issues. For those who don't weld regularly, a 1/2" stitch weld with .030" wire that's a mere 3/16" wide, weighs almost nothing.......grams.

    Flywheel Ring gear

I've seen that happen on a couple of bone stock 760's through the years. I just press them back on and make small 1/2" stitch welds with the wire welder in 6 places
