Yeah, sled cylinders generally have way more hp but way less torque per cc than ski jugs. Now PV units might do the trick but I wouldn't put money on it.

I'm would almost bet Impros will recommend the 9/15 hooker. Definately a worthy option for low end, or maybe even the 8/15, assuming you have a sn or rn sj.

The island I live on is 126 Miles to circum-navigate it. You think thats do-able? Im actually kind of tempted to try it. I guess I would have to buy gas for the support boat though. I could put the 650 back in the sn hull. That thing was a sipper for sure.

The 3 or 4 women that I witnessed trying a standup for the first time, didn't even fall for like 10 minutes or so. I think they tend to be alot more cautious than men.
That said, I wouldn't worry about the learning curve so much.
