Crab, I just ohm'ed out 2 new BR8ES's. Using a Fluke meter I got 4.96 Kilo- Ohms (4,960) and 5.01 K-Ohms on the second. They are solid tops. Something dont jive with your readings. Try a different meter. You might want to wring out your coil as well, especially your secondary. Oz

I have a 95 sxi and I had a 9/17 then traded to a 12/17 swirl. It hooked up better in the turns but I lost a TON of bottom end. If your not too concerned about speed, then dont go taller than the 9/17. It hit pretty good but the dual carb 750's dont have great bottom end anyway. Oz

There is like 30,000 different kinds of aluminum alloys. Titanium would be a great way to go like said above ^^^. But there are many aluminum alloys that are plenty strong. 7000 series for instance. Made for aircraft landing gear etc... But cant be welded. Solid will not be noticeably stronger...

The hard drive models dont have the image quality of mini dv just yet. Just make sure you got image stabilization. Sony and Canon are good, not sure about JVC.

Just like Crab said, solder and heat shrink. I use either dielectric silicone grease, De-ox or Oxyguard on the soldered splice before you slide the shrink tubing on. That way when it shrinks, the stuff oozes out the ends and you know its a water tight seal. I recomend the silicone because you...
