Who's done a no foam refoam?

You're forgetting that he fell off the face of the earth for over a year and isn't quite up to speed on what all the cool kids are doing these days. He's a bit old school :dunce:

Who's done a no foam refoam?

So what is your % fill after cutting to go around all the crap in the tray like the tubes and inserts and pump tunnel? :hitwithrock: Do it if you want. You're right. It's cheap and easy. It's just :deadhorse:

Who's done a no foam refoam?

You're killing the environment. If you do it, then I'm going straight to AlGore. You had better be planning on buying some carbon offsets for this project. I can sell you what you need, but it won't be cheap. Carbon offsets for polystyrene foam are outrageous even if I give you a discount.

Who's done a no foam refoam?

old man. After a ride or two you'll know your water ingress rate. Unless you do something to change that (bad crack), then it'll do what it does. If your tray cavity fills with water in a day of riding with or without foam then you have bigger issues that need to be fixed. Sounds like...

Who's done a no foam refoam?

I disagree. The poured in foam provides "some" structure. The polystyrene sheets will provide none so essentially you'll have equal structural strength whether you have sheets of foam in there or not. Your reinforcement more than makes up for any losses of removing the poured foam. Has...

    New Smyrna

you can ride there on weekends and holidays only unless you can convince the lifeguard otherwise, which could happen. There is a dedicated zone that moves monthly in cold months or 2x a month in summer. Same deal as daytona with $25/ month pass and all the safety stuff. It's a nice beach...

What else should I do when my ski is all torn apart?

I'm sure that will work. Sounds like an offer she couldn't refuse. I know you don't want to, but I still think you should run with no foam. Parr did it not too long ago and shed a bunch of weight. Talk to him about it... All the cool kids are doing it.

What else should I do when my ski is all torn apart?

Now you're talking. If you do want to do it, you could do all the ski work slowly during the evenings. It's not like you need daylight to do any of it. You might could talk me into helping if you can help get my permission slip signed.....

    Need some help!

you are underestimating how much that other nickel and dime stuff adds up to be. Motor mounts, steering, steering cable, throttle cable, battery box, hoses, water box.....it REALLY adds up fast. You could easily spend $1500 on all that stuff even at bargain prices.

    build up question?????????????

    what's your budget?
  12. GDFL

    budget hulls. Around $3000

do you have all the other parts too? It's unbelievable what all the other stuff besides the motor and hull adds up to. You could easily have another 2k in hoses, bolts, pump, water box, cables, etc by the time your done. If you have all that stuff, then just wait until you have the money from...

Anyone run Trinity Footholds with 25mm Plush

I really like the extra padding on top. You kick in and you are there. On the bottom your body weight compresses it slightly and it can get not quite as tight as it was when you started. Not a big deal for most. I also don't do 30ft hero backflips either so maybe you should factor that into...

Anyone run Trinity Footholds with 25mm Plush

I did 8mil on bottom and 25mil on top. The top was more like 1.5 layers the way it overlapped. Super comfy. you might get away with 25 top and bottom. It would be snug, but probably work out ok.

    Freestyle project hull

I just now found this thread. Awesome work. I know you said you're semi-retired; what do you do when you aren't playing with jet skis? Looks like a miserable life..... :hitwithrock:

    unbiased opinion

Trinity DID have a sponsored rider in pro freestyle at Havasu. He got injured and had some issues (not related to the hull) and didn't compete. It was Josh Lustic. Trinity is a rather small shop so he doesn't exactly have the deep pockets that RR does to sponsor everyone and their brother.

How much money did you spend at Daytona

Not a chance. It would be broken before you got the bolts properly torqued. Bolting that thing on would be a waste of time.
