    knee brace opinions

I tore my ACL (luckly not all the way through) and had half of the minscus removed from my right knee. I have been using the EVS web and it feels really good. The kneep pad is only held on with some lycra so I wear it under mx pants so the water doesn't catch it and tear it off.

    xmetal pole.spring set up.

The pole isn't the deciding factor. A spring should work on an X-metal pole just as easy as it does a stock, AC, or UMI. The real issue is the bracket. You will tear the sh*t out of your paint (and fiberglass) if you aren't carefull trying to get the bolt, pole, and spring in. The...

    Pismo footage from Saturday

This is from Saturday. I ran out of song before I could get Mike S. vs Jerry B. on there. But it's coming... So is Mike's double... So is Sunday and all (well not all but a nice taste) of the drunkeness of the evening to follow... Since I don't have enough footage for a full DVD and I have...

    round pole on a square......

This is what the stock height UMI roundnose bracket looked like on my square. It didn't stick out much, but you could see it. I liked the look, kind of reminded me of how a hotrod looks with a blower or air scoop poking out of the hood.

I don't know how you northerners do winter

I spend the winter up to my elbows in fiberglass and paint. I refer to it as the itchy season.

    FS hood and nosepiece

I'm going with Old Wammer Hood. I can't tell if the handholds in the picture are universal, but the old wammer I have sitting at my house looks EXACTLY the same with handholds that can only be grabbed from the back and not the front. From what I have heard the original Wammer hoods were built...

    round pole on a square......

I agree. I did the conversion with a stock height UMI bracket and ran into the same problem with the pole stops keeping it from extending all the way due to the angle of the mounting area. I just slapped a limiting strap on it and called it a day. One other thing that might be worth...

Who has the best prices on Texalium

I buy all my texalium from solar composites http://www.solarcomposites.com/composites/carbon%20fiber%20fabric.html Best price? I have no idea, but he delivers in a timely fashion and the stuff is packaged really well. I have never had a problem with them. Webpage is ugly but it works.

how cold can a 3/2 suit go?

When it gets really cold I've doubled up on wetsuits in the past, but I have found that in addition to a suit the next best defense against the cold is hooking up some hothands. Bring your cooling lines up to your handle bars. This has made the biggest difference in my cold weather riding...
