Man....so the stitches have kept me out of the water for two and a half weekends now.....and I'm going nuts. I feel like I've been off the water for months. I couldn't handle a whole winter with no riding.

diversity-

i dont ride barely at all anyway....but- snowboarding, mt. biking, trail running, golf junky, mx, and did I say SNOWBOARDING...I wonder how people cant go ride the powder at will....Montana this year, whistler, Monarch Pass Colorado, and oh ya I forgot....ALASKA for the whole month of April this year. Mt. Hood too....

BUT here in Oregon the ocean stays pretty much the same temp all year. As we speak guys are playing hooky and riding twenty footers in PC.

I gotta get back in the water....damn golf and snowboarding...

Fortunately I use the long winter down time to make much needed repairs and upgrades to my skis. I have a wood burning stove in the shop, i keep that focker stoked and the place is like 80 - 90 degrees in there. I will be putting a small TV and DVD player out there so I can watch AMCFIII and The Addiction all winter while I work.

Winter sucks, but you have to find something to do...

I can say though, that I totally miss living down south...

for me this year in the fall winter and early spring I think I will be in the water more than the summer when I cannot get off the golf course. I think I am the only jet skiier that golfs...contrasting sports for sure.

jerry- where do you snowboard?

I spend the winter building an insulation layer around my mid-section to make it easier to ride in the early months.

The rest of the time is spent fixing, sanding and getting the ski ready for another season of abuse from an inept rider(me).

Normally Big Bear.....well, snow summit. If we do weeknight trips we'll hit up Mt. High.....but only if there have been decent storms as the elevation is a bit lower.

I try to make a trip up to Utah to visit some old miltary friends and grab some good snow at least once during the winter.

Watch and play football(nothing like playing ball in the snow), take ski apart and clean everything, sand, repaint etc. I actually kinda like the break from riding(makes it that much more fun when the weather warms up)

I had a friend that lived in Daytona and I kept one of my skis at his house and I would fly down once a month and ride all weekend, then he moved, now he's back in south Fl. so I have to get another ski down there
