All I can say is WOWEE! I think I might need some spaceship fuel for this thing cuz all it wants to do is take off! This feels like a whole new hull(of course all I've ever ridden was a 440 and a waterlogged superjet). I rotated over half way on my first jump, and I wasn't even trying! Anything...
Dropped my hull off for final prepping and paint. So I'm just playing with my other toys right now. Really cleaned up this old factory pipe waterbox and the chamber. Kinda layed out the motor and such and it's gonna look pretty nice in the hull! Any tips on cleaning up the gas tank?
Reinforced the hood with biax, it's strong! Still seems pretty light too especially compared to before. Just gotta work the hood a little more(still need to figure out how I want to vent it) and a little more hull prep and this will be ready for paint!
Back to the grind stone.
Decided to switch it up and work on the pump today. I followed @Rdrttoy method to install the bearings. Worked very well. sometimes heat wasn't even needed, just freezing. Honestly this was quite enjoyable to do (my first Yamaha pump rebuild) unlike a few Kawasaki pumps...
Starting to work on a parts list, please chirp in if you have any recommendations.
I'm sure i'm forgetting too much. Random little hardware is gonna kill me.
