SX/SXi/SXi Pro 650sx flat deck, fixed steering conversion ski

Pretty much done , I need to go get some superglue for a few places but I think it turned out ok , I am kinda digging it but next time I do one I will be using real Hydroturf , this stuff is not as much fun to work with and the pics make it look better than it actually is. This here ain't no...

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

Wait , you posted something unrelated , no freaking way ! While I am always an advocate for open discussion on this forum or any other forum I do have to say I don't understand your reasoning for taking this thread off on so many different tangents , as usual it seems that you have a lot of...

    760 OEM flywheel charging issues

The only way it wouldn't charge after it was lightened is if it somehow lost magnetism , it is rare but I have seen a few like that , dropping a flywheel or a strong current such as welding can weaken a magnet .

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

Or you can use the old Kawi 650 trick and just 1211 the cylinder to the cases , no gasket, I have been running my 650's that way for years with zero failures , you get a slight bump in compression , tighter squish and slightly lower the exhaust timing that way .

    88 650sx troubleshooting

It will run either way , just an observation, I would leave it alone for now , a stock Yamaha flame arrestor of any 650 or 701 62T engine would work great . Figer out the size and order a silicone coupler to replace that hose . WWW.SILICONEINTAKES.COM.

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

My choices are defiantly dictated by a budget of zero dollars and I have OEM dual 44's so you know what I am going with.

SX/SXi/SXi Pro 650sx flat deck, fixed steering conversion ski

The ski didn't make it to the ride but I did and I got to meet a lot of nice new riding buddies so it's all good , my toe hasn't quite healed up yet anyway , so back to the ski . I did some foam repairs , then I laid down a layer of Yoga mat and some blue camping foam on the dash , it wasn't...

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

Everyone has their preference in carbs , me I like Blackjacks , someone else will say OEM 44'S , someone else will say Full Sprectrums and so on and so forth , what really matters is if you can get the carbs you have properly set up to get the most out of your setup.

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

My thinking is that the 62T cylinder will lose a bit on top end compared to the 64X cylinder and have slightly softer bottom end than a 61X and I am ok with those tradeoffs , for what I am doing with this ski I believe it will do just fine . I also have to look at resale , I may not keep this...

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

Since I haven't put the engine together yet , yeah the answer would be no , as far as the deaf ears go, when you keep beating the same drum for years and years that tends to happen.

Kevbo while I appreciate your response it's always the same, pump load , pump load , pump load , sorry but there are way more variables to consider than just the pump load , I am just saying it's time to get some new material.

I don't mind doing some mild porting - cleanup but I don't want to get crazy with it , I too have heard good things about the 62T setups .

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

A superjet engine is exactly that a 62T case with a 61X cylinder on top of it , yes it does bolt straight onto the 62T cases . A 64X cylinder will also bolt on to 62T cases if you enlarge them a tad, I have done a few like that before.

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

I need to build an engine for my SN Superjet build and am looking ahead a bit . I have an opportunity to get a set of nice 62T cases and cylinder that needs boring , I also have a 760 cylinder , OEM dual 44 intake and carbs to go with it , I also have a complete 61x motor and a set of dual 44...

The Opposite of Bogging FX-1/Super Jet

The issue is from what you have stated is there is little to point the way to your actual problem , you are going to have to do some Scooby Doo detective work on this one, all anyone here can do is give you their best educated guesses .

    88 650sx troubleshooting

The PJS pipe and Mariner head should run quite well , the head was installed backwards, it will run just fine that way, just letting you know. I can't tell which exhaust manifold you have but you might want to pull the pipe and look at the diameter of the head pipe and the manifold and see how...
