Getting more steering out of SXR/SXI pump.

I've basically got stock steering on the back end of my SXR. I want to get more throw and am thinking of grinding down the steering nozzle so it will turn farther, but I think this will make some blow by on the other side. Anyone done this?

    SXR DIET

Want to save weight on an SXR? get a versaplug. Your SXR is open to the back and has a channel going to the plug and then has styrofoam in it. There is about 1 gallon that can sit in the back, the versaplug lets that gallon out, saving you about 10 pounds.

Mine made a huge difference by drying out the water box. It was well worth the $50

    Sxr air intake

keep on stock flame arrestor...and if you really want to keep water out, get a trinity hood. (plus your ski will be faster and sound cooler).

    Sxr air intake

Block off the front hole on the hood...use duct tape...whatever....cut a 2nd hole in the back. Problem solved. You will cut water intrusion by 1/2. If you are running a drypipe and large carbs, add a 2nd air hose to the back, if not, you are golden.

    Custom/Hybrid Counterfiet RRP Rickter Hulls??

Before you buy, contact RRP and make sure they are a dealer. This sucks. I'm sure once he got the hull it was obvious (missing emblems etc....)

    Lightweight Hoods

My Trinity is the glass version, much less expensive...still light and super strong..keeps water out.

Other Of all these new light hulls....

Voges, for the kind of riding you are doing and what you are looking for, I would go for a ROK or a Brawler. I've ridden about 25 hulls at this point. The rock is way lighter, way smaller and way snappier than our hulls, but can still carve if you want it to. The brawler is even smaller and...

    Bilge pumps..Maybe a new option?

Switches are dumb. No need for one. See vid above. Rulemate 1100 for the win. 14 years and built in switch NEVER failed. It has NEVER air locked. Works every time. Even works if your hood falls off and your ski stalls and your 100 yards from it. Even works if it's tied to a dock for a...

SXR Building the best SX-R race engine! Why not DASA?

I think with the small bearing issue, I am going to keep my stock motor, but get it ported..... I do too many WOT runs and am always on the throttle. I do freerde, but I also do a lot of 'long' rides and think I'll be replacing cranks or blowing that sucker up before the season ends.

SXR Sold my 750sx and picked up an 06 sxr, input?

Impeller: Keep the stocker (for now), its a great Solas Swirl impeller. You can swap it out for a refurbished one from SBT for REALLY cheap. Handlepole: Your gonna break it, but I wouldn't go with an RRP, (too heavy for an already heavy ski). I'd go Xmetal w/Superjet steering. Are you going...
