Freestyle best finger throttle for freestyle/surf riding

I agree the Sato Engineering throttle lever worked well without all the sharp edges but I believe it only came in silver and blue colors.

    Super Jet bpipe boreing

Yes... wax you're carbide burrs so they don't load up with aluminum. The exhaust manifold should be bored out using a mill for accuracy so you don't hit the water jacket area and a 2-inch coarse flap wheels works well for porting deep inside the head pipe where most the restriction is located.

Super Jet Studs instead of head bolts

The Kawasaki stainless studs and acorn nuts work well with the Yamaha cylinders but they're a little pricy. I'd be curious to know how much the ADA kits are selling for and if it's all stainless hardware.

Freestyle Raider nozzle taper vs. SJ nozzle taper

The steeper angle of the Raider reduction nozzle cause interference problems with the trim bracket and welding the new trim pivot points back further on the nozzle tip increases the travel distance. It also allows the use of different reduction nozzle models that don't necessarily have the trim...

That's true and media mail if you're a real cheap azz but if you make you own labels using the web site, you won't have to stand in those long lines at the post office.

Freestyle Raider nozzle taper vs. SJ nozzle taper

I'm sure each reduction nozzle that Yamaha develops is specifically engineered for their skis by the engine power to weight ratio, pump size, impeller type & pitch, hull design, top speed, drag etc. Most of their jet-ski's with smaller displacement engines that weigh less use the steeper...

Other Group K wrote 760 has seperate cylinder timing curves can anyone answer this ?

That's normal because the squish depth on the cylinder head is quite a bit deeper at the rear cylinder.

Other Group K wrote 760 has seperate cylinder timing curves can anyone answer this ?

I was told from a reliable source that the 760 engines have different timing curves for each cylinder that is control through the CDI's electronic circuitry. Even though the coil has the secondary leads tied together it can control the timing through the primary wires. If you notice on the...

Surfriding Dead NGK plugs.... is it just me?

In an electrical circuit with resistance shorts can be either open or closed. Open = No Current Flow Closed = No Resistance :chairfall:

Surfriding Dead NGK plugs.... is it just me?

Solid core non-resistor plugs won't short out unless they have cracked insulators or they're fouled out. It very common for the resistor plugs to short open especially when subjected to a marine environment.

Why don't you guys start using non-resistor solid-top plugs if the resistors are shorting open?

    AWSOME TRIM LEVER (avid)

You must have a larger throttle wheel on the carbs because it works just fine with the Avid speed dial 5 & 7 mid-levers and ODI grips. The after market lanyard kill switches can be mounted just about anywhere accessible and can be found inexpensive on fleBay. I have my switch mounted in the...

Super Jet Anyone ever try a pump wedge on a SuperJet ?

You should drill & tap your welded bung fitting for a stainless 6mm bolt & nut to make it height adjustable. You can also offset the steering nozzle holes for use with larger diameter bushings so the nozzle is pointed slightly upward and the trim ring is point more downward. This will make...
