    550 fuel vaccum issue

Good info. Gonna order another pop off tester as my last gauge broke due to the required popoff for a 94 wave raider stock psi requirement was higher then the gauge vould handle. I would imagine at this point i would pump 20 pounds into the carb and look for a leak with soapy water? What should...

    550 fuel vaccum issue

iv checked compression on front cylinder 180 and rear cylinder at 173ish. i figure from what iv read this is good enough to run. my issue right now is that i know i have fuel flow as i see the fuel coming out of the return line from just cranking the engine over. iv gotten it to start 2...

I’m buying Superjets, is this Superjet worth $2500?

after all the shopping iv done on a superjet people seem to want a premium for thier RN. 3500 to 11000 depending on year. id say for 2500 its a decent deal. in my eyes that basically means you got everything you need for a running ski besides the engine. id bring a little fuel pour it down the...

    550 fuel vaccum issue

Ya old needle, spring and seat where all reused. Its the oem kawasaki 38mm carb. I feel like i some how messed it up. Im gonna take a look at another 550 i have just to see if iv got fuel routing right first. I also need another pop off tester.

    550 fuel vaccum issue

Trying to get my 550 to pull fuel. I just rebuilt the carb, and i did not use genuine, (amazon special) so i imagine this is problem number one. I also installed an aftermarket inline filter for the fuel and ripped the stock one out. I basically pulled the hose off the fitting of the carb, and...

Absolutely. That would be cool to see. I havint had time to sit down and revise all the nonesense i originally posted so it would be nice to get a decent idea as to someone who went through it all already. Im a mechanic but not a porting master so with that said i believe especially since im not...

I know virtually nothing when it comes to pump tuning but i imagine its gonna be something i learn along the way. Imagine you probably tune a pump to the engine and not the other way around so thats really my priority rn. One of the other saving graces is im buying a jm 718 motor so i imagine...

    the tigercraft v3

Right. I see this info come up alot as far as cylinders are concerned but i think most everyone would agree that with the correctly modified 62t case its the superior case due to bettter volume overall, maybe thats not the case though. I image that thier is a benefit to a point as someone much...

Apparently its adjustable water flow. Idk it seemed like a decent idea, but i suppose now that its been said i can see where getting salt water and an adjustable orifice might not be the best.

    the tigercraft v3

My god that a pretty sweet deal. That might be the route i go. That basically is a brand new engine exactly how i would set it up. It looks like JM is really the route for getting all this done. I imagine if i keep the flywheel and stator i could use my 61x electronics also.

    the tigercraft v3

I am new to building any sort of AM hull. im basically starting from scratch aside from an engine with a choice between a 701 62t or a 61x, a 144 pump and a impeller. This is kind of my way of seeing total cost of ski plus parts i will need as for my plans with some of the engine work. any and...

happens all day long at my shop. people will always look at the mechanics as help not at the mechanic.

    A starter away....

Anything can be fixed i suppose but at this point it a decision between an 90/91-95 hull (which is ideally the hull i want with a reed motor) and the time it would take to fix this one. It would probably take about half the time to fix this one as the learning is over and the doing is known but...
