They tend to lose their spring and don’t seal well after awhile. I have yet to have a set fall apart or even chip on me personally. Are you having hard starting issues too?

Like other people said you’re best off going to a ride and trying as many skis out as you can. Everyone prefers something different and it’s hard to do any hull justice over text. All of your big name manufacturers make awesome skis you just need to figure what riding style you’re looking for...

+2 on the well built AM hull with a reliable piped 701 setup. Cheaper, less maintenance, very capable. You’ll have way more tray time and still have a ton of fun. You’d be surprised what a built 701 in a nice light hull is capable of.

I typically had my domes cut to accommodate the travel above the cyl deck. Worked well for me on my 5mm. What kind of riding are you planning on doing?
