Buy a AM hull with a pole and steering setup on it already. Can find plenty in the 4-5k range. You should easily be able to source the rest of your parts for a mild 701 build a/oem pump with the rest of your 2-3k if you look around. Obviously some assembly required but I’d say for 8k you could...
Did you by chance go to the gp800 style kidney block or double up your check valves? With a 60 at 25 on that engine you’ll for sure be having fuel shake out of those carbs.
My info is as follows and I ride in pa so take this for what you will;
FS 50’s:
Main 132.5
Pilot 122.5
Pop off 24psi...
If you have residue with dominator you’re probably seeing some water ingestion and you’re probably rich right off the bottom. I’d say you’re loading up after letting off the throttle.
If possible strap your ski down in the water and run it with the FA’s off. If you can’t just do it on land. If...
Do you have this issue on a mostly full tank?
Could be fuel pickups coming out of the fuel momentarily.
To me it doesn’t seem like you ate that much water during that ordeal but I obviously have no clue on what’s already inside your bay.
Im having trouble telling if it sounds lean or rich on...
Does this happen if you just throw continuous flat spins?
If you ride the ski flat and just whack the throttle and jump a few times in a row do you have the same issue?
They tend to lose their spring and don’t seal well after awhile. I have yet to have a set fall apart or even chip on me personally.
Are you having hard starting issues too?
Chris from C57 is awesome to deal with and got me all patched up.
might throw a new starter at it while I’m here, it’s been slow cranking on known good cables on a NLP14.
Also painted some bed plates
Like other people said you’re best off going to a ride and trying as many skis out as you can. Everyone prefers something different and it’s hard to do any hull justice over text. All of your big name manufacturers make awesome skis you just need to figure what riding style you’re looking for...
+2 on the well built AM hull with a reliable piped 701 setup. Cheaper, less maintenance, very capable. You’ll have way more tray time and still have a ton of fun.
You’d be surprised what a built 701 in a nice light hull is capable of.
I typically had my domes cut to accommodate the travel above the cyl deck. Worked well for me on my 5mm.
What kind of riding are you planning on doing?
Great doing business as per usual.
One of the more dependable vendors on the site and offers top notch gaskets at a more than affordable rate.
Fast turnaround and good communication.
cable goes on other side , I had that exact issue and it was a major nightmare tho. Ended up just welding a gob onto the pump and cutting the threads down on the fitting.
