Also watch the gauge on your gun while you are test spraying. The pressure drops when spraying and the issue with low cfm tanks are tgat it can't keep up with the guns pressure requirements. It helps to run shorter & wider air hose from the tank to the gun to fight pressure drop. Get sone 1/2"...
You won't know until you run some tests through the gun. I suggest blowing WATER through it to check your spray patterns and test your compressor. It's easy to dry out after (no issue). Spray water on the side of your house.
Paint mix should be about 4:2:0.5 paint:reducer:hardener but ymmv...
How many small holes are part of the low/pilot circuit? The idle circuit has one ~3mm hole. Then there may be 4x tiny ~1mm holes, or there may be 2x tiny ~1mm and 1x larger ~3mm hole further up in the carbs. I notice the T-Handles, and just wondering if these are OEM or aftermarket carbs.
with the 75 pilot jet, the pipe gets pretty hot. Im going to increase to an 85 pilot jet in the pipe.
My RPMs are hitting about 6900.... so, I'm starting down the road of getting dual OEM 44s set up in this ski. Its going to take about a month but maybe it'll give me better top-end.
I second a doner ski. While two wrongs won't make a right, you'll probably find the second/doner ski gives a ton of rebuild bounty for not so much. Even if you drop to a 61x single carb - don't worry it'll be about the same. Score a $500 701 parts ski on a single trailer and you've got your...
Spooge. It's probably not fuel. I bet you have some water left in the waterbox and it's coming out when woting. It's nasty smoky 2 stroke spooge.
What's your jetting? Should be about....
1 turns all
75pilot
1.5ns/95g or 2.0ns/115g
135main
Stripped bolts in the cyl/head are easy to do. Use a torque wrench next time. You can use helicoils to fix. A full girdled head will also help hold the head and cyl down.
I'd love to know your actually peak RPM figures.
I don't know exactly which Protec pipe I have, except its one for a WaveRaider. The stinger points straight back and connects to a WR waterbox in the rear.
My protec pipe has no adjustments except the one I made before the coupler - it only...
So with putting a 95 pilot jet (67.5 was increased to a 95 for the first test) into the pipe's water injection, the RPM has now come up by about ~250 rpm and now hits about 6850. The external temperature on the pipe has also gone from about 135F to about 175F. SO limiting the water injection...
Maybe too much water. I took the Protec's stinger off, and noticed at the very end of the head-pipe theres a water injection inlet into the pipe. Not unlike a B-Pipe but similar concept - only the Protec pipe has no way to adjust the flow stock, and the fact that there is only 1 water-jet...
