Anyone else notice how almost all used Pro-Tec steering nozzles, but they machined the outside of the nozzle? Was that just to remove the Pro-Tec logos? Aaron

    Freestyle Rickter XFS-specs and pricing?

I am 99% sure it was glass. I haven't seen a white carbon Rickter (any model).

    Freestyle Rickter XFS-specs and pricing?

about 1/2 a mile. It's FAR. I know. I accidentally touched the nozzle on the bottom of the lake :-( Actually it's half set-back and half the shorter hull. Hopefully one of the distributors/dealers will know if it requires a special driveshaft. Aaron

Rickter FS-I/FR-1 Vs. FS-2/FR-2 for surf riding.

I hate being wrong...or at least overlooking stuff. I was thinking how easy this would be based on my Polaris experience...then I remembered how the Polaris pumps mount, they don't have ears, the 4 bolts through the pump hold it to the pump shoe. So to do the same thing on a Yamaha means I would...

Rickter FS-I/FR-1 Vs. FS-2/FR-2 for surf riding.

How far back is the FR/FS-2 pump? Masterblaster - When Polaris did the setback pumps on their couches they did it by stacking an additional wear ring in front of the existing one. If I press the midshaft deeper into the bearing then it will stick further back toward the driveshaft. Seems like I...

    Freestyle Rickter XFS-specs and pricing?

WTF is your point? You always have some comment about how cheap it should be to make something and you never consider R&D, marketing, dealer/distributor cost, advertising, etc. You act like everything should be sold for the cost of raw materials. It's supply and demand. RRP knows how to market...

That was Rick Roy's personal ski with the Power Factor.

    2010 World Finals freestyle thread!

That's another good point. Didn't Taylor Curtis sell off all the 2009 WF Rickters without motors? Did Power Factor just loan them out for competition? I wish I was more in the know. The Power Factor motor was may more $$ than the TS motor, that's for sure. Polaris stuff is rare, I think Baxter...

Watch the videos, you don't have to be told. Watch the 2008 Video of Rok on a PF powered Rickter and then watch 2010. Aaron

    2010 World Finals freestyle thread!

Apparently not. I think there is a story there but I don't know it, or at least not enough of it to even tell what I know. The only Power Factor motor I saw all weekend was in Rick Roy's $40,000 Rickter XFS. I thought it was interesting to say the least that they went with the lower powered Team...

Rickter FS-I/FR-1 Vs. FS-2/FR-2 for surf riding.

titrash rode my FS-1 in flat water. He had a few comments about my lack of set-back pump and motor. I am tempted to bastardize me some bed plates to shift my motor back, and make a spacer ring to go between the wear ring and pump shoe to give my FS-1 some FS-2 action. Aaron

    2010 World Finals freestyle thread!

The PFP was pretty dominant, especially in Pro Freestyle. I am pretty sure the white Bun ski had the Bun pipe, and I know one of the red Japanese skis had a carbon R&D style pipe. I think all the rest were PFP. I know that Lee Stone had a Power Factor pipe, although I can't be 100% that it was...

    2010 World Finals freestyle thread!

Brian is right. I know who is running Eric's 2006 winning motor. Maintain it the way Eric says to and it's still working. The new EME 1200 is sweet. Lee Stone told me the 1200 has massive power over even the 1105 he had 2 months ago. Lee said it was like a totally differnet boat. Weston - if...

    New Rickter Ski?

I am sure it happened. It's a stock pump. Bored nozzle (88mm). And an impeller. I didnt see the pitch or even the hub size I rode it today and it felt pretty good. It's rideable up to about 30 mph then it got skittish as heck. I didn't try anything on it (no skills) but it felt...

    2010 World Finals freestyle thread!

Amateur freestyle was amazing. The level of tricks is probably as good as pro was two years ago. The rules are a little weird: it's not a biggest trick contest. Judging by the results the most important thing is combos - being able to string your tricks together. Gomez had trouble landing his...

Super Jet here can i get an efi kit for my 701?

Fuel pump is easy. A Walbro will drop right through the hole in the top of a SJ tank. The stock pickup could easily be converted into a fuel pump holder. The "hot ticket" would be a fuel surge tank that made sure you never lost fuel pressure. Aaron

    SXR The End

Yes, and no. What advantage did a "new" Superjet offer over a used one? Previous to 2008, why wouldn't I buy a clean used 1996 RN over a brand new 2007. In fact that is what I did. I bought a 1999 and saved myself $4000.00 over new and gave up how many features? NONE. It's the manufacturer's own...

It's Official: Kawasaki to stop making standups

2 strokes aren't dead internationally. AFAIK 701's are still sold brand new in other countries. They even fit them in the big VX110 hull or whatever it is. Aaron
