Super Jet Running out of ideas... Superjet issue

Also, maybe the stator plate has moved causing very retarded or advanced timing.

Super Jet Running out of ideas... Superjet issue

Have you had the front cover off? Checked the ground wire? The only ground to the Ebox is going into the front cover. Maybe temporarily try a secondary ground from battery to Ebox to see if that’s the issue. Would likely be more intermittent though.

    Novi 48 carburetor jetting ?

Carb tuning guide from group K still applies even with a novi. I assume that carb has drilled return so make sure you have a 60 jet in the return line as a starting point. https://torrentpumps.net/carb-tuning-for-two-stroke-basics-from-group-k/

Whose done at home metal casting?

thanks for the info!! Ya it’s probably way more involved then I realize. Not trying to make money making parts or anything just mostly want to screw around and justify a mill. There’s a small furnace on Amazon for like $300. Seems like a reasonable gamble to try it out. Mold making sand or...

Whose done at home metal casting?

Whole new ball game in the sense you can more easily make good quality parts now?

Whose done at home metal casting?

Hey, I’ve really been considering getting into casting aluminum parts at home lately. I’m looking at lost PLA with 3D printed forms (or bucks or whatever they are called). Struggling to figure out what size furnace/foundry/whatever to buy. Thinking this would give me the excuse I need to buy a...

Oil in stator area = bad crankseals?

How much oil and what viscosity? Do u see it dripping down the seal? The washer probably fell out of the front cover bendix hole last time someone had it apart. Some people soak the bendix in oil which makes a mess in there.

    Freestyle ET1107cc Tuning Thread

all the same questions apply - do you have the new zeel that allows you to leave the 3rd lump? If so, what lumps do you have left and what setting on the zeel? Do you have the correct static angle of 56? some shipped with the wrong static angle. do you have +/- signal checked? if not, you...

    GP1200 fuel starvation/lean condition?

Check the check valve in the fuel tank. Maybe it’s not letting air in. What does it actually do when it dies? Does it slowly drop rpms then die?

DIY Total loss or MSD TL upgrade box 270USD?

I've looked over Colby's setup. I don't think its a battery voltage issue. he can still crank it easily after it starts acting up (which means there's plenty of voltage to run the zeel). His ebox is clean and all wiring is good. he has a new start/stop. swapped coils so its not the coil...

    XS1200 rod let go

Just got the rod unstuck on both ends. The bearings feel perfect on both ends. I don’t see any explanation other then the rod just failed. I’m actually surprised how good the bearings feel.

    XS1200 rod let go

I can’t answer most of those questions since I bought the ski/motor used. Visually it looks to be in phase. Never retorqued the base bolts but they were very tight. Crankcase bolts are sll there and tight. Dunno about the rods but they are high gloss almost chrome looking. I believe this is how...

    XS1200 rod let go

Great day of riding. Very bad ending. Now I gotta get an interim motor while I maybe rebuild this... oh and I have a new motor coming in 4 months too. FML. no signs of detonation, water ingestion, etc. I think the rod just let go. Interesting that this has polished rods. Wonder if that...
